Mexico is the fourteenth largest country in the world in terms of total area, with an extension of almost 2 million square kilometers. It is located in North America, south of the United States and north of Central America. It is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.

The capital of Sinaloa is Culiacán. It is located in northwestern Mexico, near the Pacific coast.
