The best plans and tours to do in Bacalar

Tours to get to Bacalar
To get to this beautiful place everyone is talking about and experts recommend, we have several options to choose from. If you’re interested in learning more about planning your vacation in Mexico, here are some more recommendations for essential tours.
The option we always recommend for traveling independently is by car. It’s the fastest way to get around and means we won’t be tied to a schedule. It’s always more convenient to choose where and when to go, without having to think about arrival and departure times or where we’ll be picked up.

That’s why we chose one of the rental cars offered by Oasis hotels. Just go to the hotel lobby and speak with the staff to rent the car that best suits your needs. For example, if you’ve decided to book a room at the Grand Oasis Palm beach hotel, visit their services for more information on car rentals.
What activities can be done in Bacalar?
Tours of the Bacalar Lagoon
You can imagine that Bacalar Lagoon is the main reason for this post, as it’s the main and essential stop on the Bacalar route. Its white beaches, crystal-clear water, and swings at the entrance to the sea… A heavenly landscape that’s unmistakable. If you’re also a photography lover or simply want to capture unique images, you’ll find them in this beautiful place.

Tour of the Seven Colors Lagoon
If you really want to get to know the lagoon in depth, rather than just taking a stroll along the shore, you’ll have to take this tour. Seeing a place at first glance and on foot isn’t the same as seeing it with the help of experts. If you do decide to take the trip, you’ll see cenotes (we’ve covered these natural sinkholes in another post).
Watch the Pirates Channel
Its name comes from the fact that pirates would land in this town after arriving from the Hondo River to the Bacalar Lagoon. They also used this route to launch attacks.

Glide down the Kan Kin zip lines
If you’re missing a bit of adventure on dry land among all the beaches, try the Kan Kin zip lines. They’re just 10 minutes from downtown and consist of five circuits with different heights and routes.
Bathe in the natural spa and see Los Cocalitos
Enjoy a spa experience in the most natural way possible. Visit the Stromalite Sanctuary and see the living fossils that make this gift of nature possible. They are over 3,500 years old.

Contemplate the island of birds
Although we can’t land on the island, it’s spectacular to see all the birds found there. Why is this? The reason is that the birds that live there use the territory as a resting place, for migration, as a home… it’s considered a protected area.
