The pyramids of Tenochtitlán
The pyramids found in the ancient city of Tenochtitlan were discovered relatively recently, since the Spaniards, upon their arrival, decided to hide all traces of the Aztec empire. Among its many attractions are the Tepeyac Causeway, the ball game or its incredible pyramid.
This is known worldwide as the Templo Mayor, the center of all the life of the ancient city, the religious, cultural and political life was concentrated here. There were different representations and temples dedicated to the Aztec gods.
The archaeological site and its museum can be accessed from Tuesday to Saturday (Mondays and Sundays are not open to the public) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for approximately 85 Mexican pesos.

The pyramids of the Mexica
We will give a brief outline of the location of each of the named pyramids, first we will talk about the Uxmal site and its two most important pyramids: The Great Pyramid and The Pyramid of the Magician. The Great Pyramid became as tall as the soothsayer’s pyramid; the latter has a legend behind it.
We also found the pre-Hispanic city of Teotihuacan, one of the largest that existed. The largest buildings of the site are the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon, the first of which is about 65 meters high and the second about 45.
In the city of Xochitécatl we also find The Pyramid of the Flowers and The Spiral Building. In the pyramid of the flowers several bodies have been found buried with offerings, while in the Spiral Building it has a circular shape whose purpose was to observe the firmament from it.
In Chichén Itzá is the famous Castillo, an admirable structure that reflects the knowledge that the ancient Aztecs had about astrology, among other knowledge. We cannot miss Palenque and its pyramids, the Temple of the Inscriptions and the Temple of the Cross.
In Calakmul, one of the largest Mayan settlements, is built the Great Pyramid, a name that also refers in general to the enclosure, where its two large structures were built in the middle of the jungle. In Bonampak is the Temple of the Murals, which although it is not a pyramid as such, the importance of its engravings and paintings make it part of this list.
