Riviera Maya - cancún

Cancun is a young city, in fact it only celebrated its 45th birthday last year. During this short space of time however, it has grown to become a major tourist hotspot and the number one overseas destination for American travellers. The city was specifically built for tourism so the hospitality sector is second to none. Apart from the obvious draws; warm weather, white sand beaches and turquoise blue waters, Cancun also offers great shopping in its attractive indoor and open-air malls.

The city is famed for its nightlife and Spring Break parties; the Grand Oasis Cancun being the heart and soul of Cancun Spring Break. But it’s not just for youngsters though; its all-inclusive hotels like the Grand Oasis Palm offer all you need for the perfect family vacation, while the Grand Oasis Sens is the ideal place to spend time with your loved one.

So if you’re looking to party the night away, shop till you drop, or looking for somewhere with fun activities for the whole family then look no further than Cancun!

Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya, which stretches from Puerto Morelos to Punta Allen, is not as developed as Cancun. This can be seen as a positive or a negative depending on your outlook. Generally speaking this expanse of coastline is more laid-back and not as brash as its northern neighbour, though that is not to say that you can’t have a good night out as Playa del Carmen’s club scene proves. This city, an hour south of Cancun, also plays host to the annual BPM dance music festival.

The regions unspoilt beaches are the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life; and the vast surrounding jungle, filled with wildlife and dotted with cenotes (natural swimming pools), will make you feel at one with nature. If peace and tranquility is what you are looking for, then our ‘Calm Resort’ Grand Oasis Tulum is for you. Situated between chic Tulum and the divers’ paradise Akumal, the Grand Oasis Tulum takes relaxation to a whole new level.

So if your ideal vacation includes remote beaches, plenty of wildlife and the use of natural ingredients and materials where possible then you will love the Riviera Maya!
