Nice, quiet, relaxing place. We really liked it.

We really liked the place and are glad we chose it. The bad- the place is older and run down in places, we had sporadic A/C, shower hot water and water pressure problems, their Environmental Tax is $75 USD instead of the usual $25, the section of the resort with the waterslide is closed for reno long term, our friends got screwed with the time share presentation (they didn't get what they were promised and the sales person was rude and insulting), our 1st room didn't have a balcony or patio (we paid and upgraded to an ocean front room) The good- We thought the food at the buffet was great and we had no stomach issues, lots of selection and it would vary with different options. It was the small, quiet, friendly vibe that was our favorite aspect, we never felt crowded or in competition for space or chairs or food. It never felt busy and was very relaxing. We've been to quite a few resorts in the area and thought this place is pretty unique. There's lots of area to snorkel and lots of fish to see. If you walk down the beach 500m by another resort there is big waves to play in and to boogie board or body surf. Despite the negatives we really liked the place and had a great week. I would rate it 3.5 to 4 stars.

Boston party of 3

Excellent staff enjoy our stay for the most part except when the bathrooms used to breath the smell in the bathroom. Overall it was good.

THE MOST AMAZING HOTEL!

After coming from the airport I was greeted at the hotel by a worker who handed me a cold towel for the heat. It took about 30 minutes to get checked in and ready. The rooms are nice they have a well working air conditioner and a great view. I enjoyed the activities which include beach volleyball, aqua aerobics, water polo, water volleyball, and many more. The workers are very nice especially Gustavo. The buffet has so much good food and the restaurants do too! The pool is nice and refreshing and it's good to know that they clean the sun beds and chairs 1-2 times a week. My experience was amazing and I rate it 5 stars.

Solid 5* experience

We arrived on Wednesday right after some stormy and rainy weather that did some damage to the resort and to rooms. Management doing great job restoring it to initial condition. On the positive side: 1. Entertainment team is great - Gonzalo and Leticia and the rest of their team are super energetic and always try to encorage people to do different activities. 2. Aricefes restaurant is awesome. Antonio, waiter, was absolutely the best. Us, having two yong kids, 4 and 1, gave him challenge but he did an outstanding job. Whatever we needed, He was one step ahead of us. Food was always fresh, well prepared and tasty. 3. Pastry was beyond good. It was great. The best one I tried on any resort and I have been to at least 20 of them. Overall, this resort is a hidden gem in Tulum. On the negative side only one thing come to my mind - great beach but lots of rocks. It is a great place for snorkeling to see different species of fish, turtles, etc. But when you are with little kids, it is challenging to swim in the ocean. Solid 5* experience

Comments for entertainment team and the activities

This hotel is very pretty especially the pool and food. I love the beach too. Overall everything is well put for the activities during the day and night. The whole team for entertainment is very welcoming and very kind such as Gustavo, Leticia, and Gonzalo.

Amazing Trip! Amazing Staff

We just returned from our amazing trip to Grand Oasis Tulum. The resort gave us the exact vacation we needed! A beautiful beach within steps of the hotel, a gorgeous family pool and the most amazing staff. One waiter in particular, Antonio, went above and beyond for our family, getting special drinks for my kids and nuggets for every meal for my picky daughter. He also treated my husband like a king for his birthday! Leticia also went out of her way to say hi, remembered our kids names and had great activities. The food was good, but I do wish there was a bit more variety or that the buffet was open longer/for dinner. Our room was clean and spacious and looked modern and it was close to everything. My only complaints are minimal ones, but just the same I’ll mention them: the constant sales people following you and trying to sell time shares and VIP access got annoying. We understood it’s their job, but it was a bit much. Also, the family pool was great but there were never any towels, so we had to go all the lobby to get towels. We mostly stayed at the family pool because it was clean, big and had a great atmosphere, but the other pools really looked in need of repair/renovation. Other than those minor things, we had a wonderful time at Oasis Tulum! Great family vacation!
