BEACH VOLLEYBALL – AT GRAND OASIS CANCÚN HEADING FOR TOKYO 2020
rom April 15 to May 2, 2021, the Cancun Hub tournament took place as part of the Beach Volleyball World Tour, one of the most important international beach volleyball tournaments, as it is a classificatory event towards the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020.
More than 200 international athletes competed in Cancun for classification points on their way to the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020.
The venue of the Cancun Hub was the spectacular hotel complex conformed by Grand Oasis Cancun and The Pyramid at Grand Oasis hotels, where the celebrated hotel group Oasis Hotels & Resorts implemented its Be Free, Stay Safe guarantee, which NORWAY Anders Berntsen Mol y Christian Sandlie Sorum QATAR Cherif Younousse Samba y Ahmed Tijan BRAZIL Duda Santos y Agatha Bednarczuk AUSTRALIA Taliqua Clancy y Mariafe Artacho encompasses an assortment of international hygiene and sanitization protocols, such as the closed-door bubble modality.
Under the closed-door bubble format, the Beach Volleyball World Tour was successfully concluded at Grand Oasis Cancun and The Pyramid at Grand Oasis hotels.
Framed by the white sand beaches of Cancun, more than 200 athletes from 30 countries approximately, got together in order to compete in three events, whose winners obtained an important amount of classification points for the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020, and were entitled to 900 thousand dollars in prize money:
