Oh! A new concept

Oh! by Oasis

Since its inception, 40 years ago, the city of Cancun has seen unprecedented levels of tourism growth in Mexico and has been at the forefront of tourism development in our country. To maintain these high levels of growth it is essential for hoteliers to be up to speed on the latest trends and developments in the industry to best be able to serve the millions that visit from overseas as well as the growing national market. Visitors to Cancún are increasingly looking for quality service and accommodation in the city without having to opt for one of the large hotels in the Hotel Zone.

Oh!

With this in mind, the Oasis Group has decided to bring to the city center, services that seemed limited to Boulevard Kulkulcan. Oasis, together with hotel director Ana Louceiro, has ventured on a new, cosmopolitan concept called Oh! By Oasis, or simply Oh!, that undoubtedly represents the new face of the city center. The hotel’s general director had this to say about the project:

“Oh! By Oasis was born out of the need to create something that did not exist in Cancun center; the first boutique hotel in the city offers great entertainment in a hip urban environment.”

The hotel, with its 58 rooms (6 Suites, 15 Doubles, and 36 King), includes restaurants, a cabaret bar, art gallery, coffee shop, and the exceptional service Oasis Hotels & Resorts are known for. A boutique hotel with the backing of a great hotel group looks set to be a winning combination.

A PLACE FOR ART

Pop Art

One of the new concepts introduced to this hotel is the After Office; a place where professionals can meet friends in a pleasant and informal atmosphere and enjoy an after work drink. The concept, which initially gained popularity in major metropolises like New York and London, has now arrived in Cancun. The name of the hotel’s After Office is Pop Art and as such is decorated with images made famous by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein among others. Apart from a fully equipped bar, Pop Art also offers delicious organic cocktails. Right next to Pop Art you will find a space exclusively for art, a place for local artists to display their work.

THE WHITE TERRACE… FUSION, FUN, AND INFORMALITY

By the hotels swimming pool you will find several jacuzzis and the White Terrace; a place where you can enjoy Mexican/Japanese sushi fusion for lunch, in addition to mini hamburgers, ciabattas, and salads, which accompanied by an ice cold beer or a good glass of wine will improve anyone’s day. At night the open air restaurant becomes a gastrobar offering tapas style dishes in a relaxed setting that will make you forget you are in the heart of the city.

Oasis has once again brought to the table a new and exciting concept for those that live in and visit the city. Success is in the details and at Oh! no stone has been left unturned.
