Visit Las Coloradas

Las Coloradas Beach

If natural landscapes are your thing and you are eager to find hundreds of unique places to visit in the Mexican country, you will undoubtedly love Las Coloradas. This small secluded place in the municipality of Río Lagartos will surprise you.

Las Coloradas Yucatan

This beautiful place is located in the north of the Yucatan Peninsula, a true paradise with dense vegetation, mangroves and virgin beaches. It has only 1,000 inhabitants, which makes it a place with little traffic beyond the tourists who come to see this beautiful landscape.

The town is basically dedicated to the salt industry, being one of the most important points of wells and processing plants in the country, although it also bases its commerce on fishing and increasingly on tourism. Due to the phenomenon that occurs in its lagoons, the waters leave an amazing pink and red color worthy of seeing in first person (in addition to taking the occasional photograph that makes it increasingly popular).

The beach of the coloradas

This beach has acquired its fame thanks to social networks, in which photographs, videos and poses are uploaded on this unique beach that is not found in many places on the planet. Its color is due to the high content of halobacteria and the salinity of the water, which causes it to be dyed in such a characteristic pink.

If you decide to visit the municipality of Rio Lagartos, specifically Las Coloradas, be prepared to experience a range of colors that you have never seen before.
