It was created in 1761 under the name of Santa María Guadalupe de los Arandas, although nowadays the full name is not usually used. Several religious buildings can be visited, such as the Templo de San José Obrero, a church with a marked neo-Gothic style, or, for example, the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
