The municipality of Patzcuaro in the state of Michoacan.
Located in the state of Michóacán, this city was founded in the year 1300 by the Purépachas or also known as Tarascans, being one of the first cities they created.
It has been a magical town since 2002 and its name means ”the door to heaven”. It was one of the main religious centers of the Purepacha civilization, since it was believed to be the place where the gods ascended and descended.

Lake Patzcuaro
Due to deforestation, pollution, climate change and everything that has had to do with the arrival of man, this lake has suffered a drop in water level.

Patzcuaro Islands
These islands are located in Lake Patzcuaro, to the west in the municipality of Morelia. It has a total of seven islands: Janitzio, the most important and largest of the islands, La Pacanda, Yunuén, Tecuena, Copujo islet and Jarácuaro.
El Estribo de Patzcuaro Lookout Point
It is located at the top of the volcano, after a paved path. Everything is surrounded by trees and vegetation, and at the lookout point there is a stone kiosk that simulates being built with logs. You will also be able to climb the more than 400 steps that will take you to the top of the hill.
