The caves of Tolantongo

Tolantongo routes, what they are

The eco-tourist park is divided into four main groups: the attractions, the food areas, the services and the lodging area.

In the group of attractions we find:

The river is impressive, a great place to spend the day with your friends or family while bathing surrounded by vegetation, in the middle of the forest, pure magic! If you like walking, here you can hike through a highly recommended eco-tourist park.

Enter the grotto to bathe in a place you wouldn’t normally know, a unique experience that will amaze you. Another of the top activities is the tunnel, a walk in the middle of rocks and darkness that is different.

In all activities you must be careful not to hinder or disturb others, be careful not to put yourself or others in danger. You will also have to wear appropriate clothing, pay attention to the guides who accompany you and do not bring food or drinks to the activities.

You will be able to camp without problems by paying the cost for the days you want to stay in the park, that will give you the right to use your assigned space and visit all the attractions that make up the general entrance, as well as use the basic services. The other option will be accommodation in the 4 hotels available.

Tolantongo Caves: prices

The general entrance fee is 150 pesos and includes the areas of the ecotourism park, the grotto and the hidden paradise; the zip line is an extra attraction that costs 200 pesos; payments can only be made in cash. Children under 5 years old are free of charge.

  2. River and hot springs: 8:00 am to 09:00 pm
  3. Restaurant and kitchens (Some only): 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
  4. Grocery store (some only): 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
  5. Box Office: 6:00 am to 10:00 pm

The hot springs of Tolantongo

Have a great time in the natural pools with waters of 36 to 38 degrees, a magical and relaxing place where you will enjoy both the scenery and the experience. It is advisable to be careful as the terrain is slippery, and it is better if the little ones wear appropriate shoes.

Balneario Tolantongo: Molanguito

The spa is located 8 kilometers from the Grutas de Tolantongo, the so-called Molanguito, which can be reached by bus. Admission is 20 pesos one way and 20 pesos return.
