Magical towns of San Luis Potosi

Xilitla

Located in the Huasteca region, the inhabitants of this magical town continue to embrace the traditions of the native Nahuas and Teeneks, uniting nature and modernity.

The main attraction is the sculpture garden or Las Pozas, a creation of Edward James, whose stairs do not lead to any specific place.

Real de catorce

Founded in the 18th century, it is located in the Altiplano region. This was a former mining royal and is considered by many to be one of the greatest attractions in the state of San Luis Potosi. Among the places you should definitely visit are the Mint, the Municipal Palace or the Palenque de Gallos.

Another very popular plan in Real de Catorce is horseback riding in willys, an all-terrain vehicle to get to know the semi-desert areas in a very particular form of transportation.

In addition, it is also well known for its adventure activities: the Tamul waterfall, rafting on the impressive Tampaón River, or going into the Mantezuel or El Aguacate caves.

Santa Maria del Rio

It is also considered a very recent magic town, and is famous for its fabric production, with a special ikat technique.

Get to know its different squares, the Church of the Assumption, its colonial mansions or the characteristic dishes of the local gastronomy. You will be able to try typical recipes, as well as pozole, a traditional Mexican dish.
