Xtabentun, the pleasure of eating as a family

A delight for all the family

Serendipity; coming across something pleasant simply by chance. The word is often used in the art world or in the field of science, but it is the first word that came to mind when describing one of my favourite spots of Oasis, the restaurant Xtabentun at Oasis Palm.

Feel like part of the family

The Oasis Palm is our family-centric hotel, nicely located close to the city center in Cancun´s hotel zone. This hotel, with its particularly Mexican vibe (which can sometimes feel lacking in touristic hotspots), is the perfect place to spend a vacation with your loved ones. Its impressive Kid’s Club, the all-inclusive Captain Hook boat tours, and of course the wide variety of cuisines will undoubtedly satisfy the pickiest of youngsters.

Enjoy the views

Dazzling views of the Mexican Caribbean

The buffet style eatery, Xtabentun, is located on the left-hand side of the Oasis Palm giving it excellent views of the canal that separates lagoon from sea. Having a coffee on its terrace while watching the boats go by is one of the simple pleasures to be had at this establishment.

Inside you will find an assortment of international cuisines to delight your taste buds in addition to Mexican favourites like fajitas, tacos, and guacamole, and regional dishes such as cochinita pibil (pulled pork in a spicy red sauce) and salbutes (fried tortillas topped with meat and vegetables). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Xtabentun allows you to eat to your heart’s content.

Finding something special

Feel the sea breeze at Xtabentun

Modern life has brought with it modern complications, but here there is no rush to get back to work, no televisions to distract you, nothing to worry about – the perfect environment for a meal with your nearest and dearest. The only thing swift around here is the service.

It is at that moment when surrounded by life’s great pleasures – family, food, the sea – that you realise that you have found something pleasant that you were in fact not looking for.
