Toluca, Mexico

The municipality mostly known as Toluca is a city in the State of Mexico. It is located in the central area and is currently the capital of the country.

Toluca de Lerdo

Although its full name is not usually used to refer to this city, it is true that Toluca de Lerdo has acquired over the years more nomenclatures, such as Toluca la fría (Toluca the cold) or Toluca la bella (Toluca the beautiful). One of its great tourist attractions is the Nevado de Toluca.

For those who have not yet heard of this impressive volcano also called Xinantécatl, which is still active today, we recommend a visit. In the area you can take pleasant walks until you reach the two popular lagoons of bluish and greenish colors, the lagoon of the sun and the moon.

La Marquesa, Toluca

Thanks to the Insurgente Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla National Park, popularly known as ”La Marquesa”, many tourists enjoy the views as well as learn about the history of the place.

Located 32 kilometers from the city, it has spectacular views, fauna and wild flora. Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day of the week.
