The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes
It began in 1867 when Governor Jesús Gómez Portugal inaugurated the School of Agriculture, which later became the Autonomous Institute of Science and Technology (IACT).
In 1973, the extraordinary meeting of the IACT Board of Directors unanimously approved the transformation of IACT into the first public university in the state. The project was presented to Francisco Guel Jiménez, who was the state governor.
The Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes has great international and national prestige, is highly supported and valued for its tradition in education in Mexico.

National Museum of Death in Aguascalientes
The museum of death in Aguascalientes is under the general direction of diffusion and linkage to culture. It was born in 2007 thanks to the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes.
It is distributed in three enclosures in which the iconography of death, funerary art, traditional manifestations of death and much more are taught. Admission is $20 and $10 for children, students and teachers. Hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
Another museum that undoubtedly has a lot of impact is the Underwater Museum of Art of Cancun.
The cuahtémoc university in Aguascalientes
Founded in 1977 by Francisco Martínez Briones. It is a private university and offers various courses of study in different fields. Its name refers to the last emperor of the Aztecs.
Aguascalientes Institute of Technology
In 2014, the Presidential Decree creating the Institution, which would be the largest in the entire Mexican country, was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation. The Instituto Tecnológico de Aguascalientes offers nine bachelor’s degrees, four master’s degrees, four postgraduate degrees and a doctorate.
