The municipality of Ixtapaluca
Ixtapaluca would be translated as place where salt is wet. This Mexican municipality was granted the rank of municipality in 1820. It would be almost 100 years before the territory began the process of industrialization and achieved one of its major livelihoods: the El Tigre gypsum factory.

The archaeological site of Tlapacoya and the site museum are located on El El Elephante hill. The period of greatest expansion was during the years 400 B.C and 200 A.D. The main attractions are the pyramidal base and the tombs that were found inside.
Zoquiapan National Park, one of the largest parks in this territory where you can take long walks, reconnect with nature and also have an incredible time with your loved ones. He carries a fully loaded camera to take spectacular pictures to show later.

The municipality is located in the south central part of the Basin of Mexico. This is a group of valleys: the Valley of Mexico, the Valley of Cuautitlan, the Valley of Apan and the Valley of Tizayuca.
