Huichapan within the state of Hidalgo

The town is located within the state of Hidalgo and borders the following territories: Alfajayucan, Nopolá, Chapantongo and the state of Querétaro (haven’t you read tours in Querétaro yet?).

The magical town of Huichapan

This beautiful place is considered one of the magical towns so characteristic of the Mexican country since 2012. Huichapan has numerous colonial buildings, cobbled streets, and mansions built with materials such as wood and iron that will transport you to another era.
Its name in the Nahuatl language means “river of willows.” It also received, thanks to the Toltecs, the name of Hueychapan, which translates as ”abundance of water”.

And we cannot fail to mention the cave paintings, creations of ancient pre-Hispanic cultures. They show combat drawings, among others.

Spas in Huichapan

  • El Patecito Spa
  • El Saucillo Spa
  • Balneario Chichimequillas
  • Balneario Tagui
  • Balneario El Tabacal

It has the great fortune to house the first spa that was made in the state of Hidalgo, the very popular Patecito. There you can rest and recharge your batteries (the Spa Sensoria
that we have recommended to you on numerous occasions is just as good).
Another admired spa in the region is El Saucillo. Its construction began in 1732 and was not completed until 1738. According to many experts, it is the highest in all of Latin America.
It is also an ecotourism park, ideal for people who want to make the most of their vacations and do some hiking, climbing, or zip-lining. For true sports lovers, we encourage you to visit the Xplor park in Cancun. If you are up for it, the best hotels in Cancun to stay at are those of the Oasis hotel group.
