Magical towns of Mexico

One of the most popular and crowded magical towns in all of Mexico is undoubtedly Cholula. It is famous for housing no less than 365 churches, among many other curiosities. If you decide to visit it, you must visit the Great Pyramid built in honor of the god Quetzalcoatl.

Located in Chiapas, the next magical town is also a must-see,San Cristobal de las Casas. It is one of the territories with more museums, such as the Museum of Mayan Medicine, Na Bolom Museum or the Museum of Popular Cultures.

If you are not yet familiar with the magical town of Patzcuaro, it may be your next choice. It is located in the state of Michoacán and is one of the oldest in Mexico, having been founded in 1300. You will be able to climb its spectacular El Estribo lookout to take incredible pictures of all of Patzcuaro.

We continue with another very special magical town: Bacalar. Mostly known for its lagoon, where different colors will catch your attention. And if they don’t, it will be their cenotes or water activities that will take your breath away.

We finish with a territory that is not so well known but also very picturesque: the magical town of Malinalco. Those in love with vegetation, mountains and ecotourism will love it.

Less than three hours away you have the small town of Txaco, where you can see a lot of tourist attractions while walking along its cobblestone paths. From religious buildings such as the Santa Prisca Church, museums such as the Viceroyalty Art Museum or nature in the blue pools, in this territory there is everything to know.

Although a little further, about three hours away, we have the town of Zacatlan de las Manzanas. Since 2011 this territory is one more in the long list of magical towns in the country. It is known, among many things, for its spectacular flower clock, composed of thousands of flowers, which of course tells the time. Also for its valley of the stones, a park of about 2000 hectares full of charm.
